(October 15, 2015)- The Canadian Motorcycle Association has designated Sunday, October 18th as the 6th Annual Day of Remembrance for motorcyclists who have been killed or seriously injured on Canadian roads.

No formal ceremony is planned but if you are in the area of Kinsmen Park on Hwy #6 in Port Dover, Ontario, please stop by the CMA Tree and Rock of Remembrance for a moment of reflection.

The CMA President, Joseph Godsall reminds us that “to commemorate this day our association arranged for a tree planting and commemorative stone and plaque at Port Dover. Every year the tree spreads its branches skyward as it continues to thrive. Hug the tree and pat the stone and remember all the good times you have shared.”

Holly Ralph, CMA Vice President says that “it is always with sadness and great pride that I view the tree and memorial to fallen riders in Port Dover. I am proud that the CMA has a long history of promoting safe riding, but saddened by frequent news of rider deaths. Once again, I will be in Port Dover on Sunday to help remember those who have had accidents and to remind other riders of the importance of awareness and constant training. Please stop by Kinsmen Park whenever you are in the vicinity and help promote safe riding on a daily basis. Be safe my friends, and enjoy the ride!”
