@jordanszoke • Muskoka, ON (October 4, 2016)- With the roadracing season complete and another Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship wrapped up, fall is the season to change gears and compete in the remaining Observed Trials competitions.
The ATA organized a two day event on Sept 24-25 at the ever popular location nestled in the beautiful area of Muskoka Ontario hosted by the Feiner family on their perfect patch of property.
The competitors awoke in the morning to frost on their RVs with the inevitable cooler temperatures of the changing season. Once the clock started at noon, the sun arrived to create the perfect conditions for one of the favorite events of the schedule.
At the end of the first loop Szoke found himself with nine points on the day, just a handful of marks ahead of good friend and fellow competitor Jonathan English giving him a lead on the weekend event.
“I wasn’t sure I had it today,” said Szoke “I had a 5 I there created by a silly mistake and figured I lost the day for sure. Jonny was riding just awesome and I figured I dint have much breathing room. I’m really happy to be riding with him again.”
Sunday’s event was graced with the same perfect conditions and new sections within the loop to create new challenges for the trial competitors. Szoke finished the 4 loop event within the time limit to improve his score with seven marks on the day, winning the overall weekend event.
“The Feiners always host such a great trial. It is a ton of work to organize and host an event and they have truly put a ton of time and effort into creating this for us. The sections were laid out great and to have checkers organized at each section was really nice. Big thanks to them and the volunteers that made this happen.”
