November 3, 2014 (Toronto,ON)- Less than one month after introducing five all-new models, Yamaha Motor Canada is back at it again with an additional four models!

The bike everyone has been waiting for is finally here!

The all-new Yamaha R1 has been completely redesigned from the ground up. The MotoGP M1 inspired body design provides a new look, while the all-new ultra-lightweight, compact 998cc, DOHC, 16-valve, liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder engine with “cross plane” style crankshaft pump out more horsepower and torque than ever before. Mix in a host of new electronic rider aids with a new frame and this truly is an all-new bike. The R1 will be available in Yamaha Blue, Vivid Red and Metallic Black at an MSRP of $18,999.

Next up is the all-new Yamaha R1M!

With all the same great features of the all-new R1, the R1M also comes equipped with an Ohlins Electronic Racing Suspension, light-weight carbon fiber bodywork, a wider 200 series rear tire, polished clear coated aluminum fuel tank and swingarm and Yamaha’s new Communication Control Unit which is both a data logger and data setting tool. Priced at $22,999 the R1M will be available in Carbon Fiber/Liquid Metal.

Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. Motorcycle Product Manager, John Bayliss, said “This is an extremely exciting time for Yamaha Motor Canada. For model year 2015, we have launched 14 new motorcycles! That means that 25% of our entire lineup wasn’t available last year! With a new bike for every type of rider, very competitive pricing and technological advances found in models such as the R1 and R1M, it’s a great time to be a Yamaha fan.”

For the rider looking for a versatile bike, the much anticipated FJ-09 is for you! Based on the extremely popular FZ-09 power plant, the FJ-09 ($10,999 MSRP) offers a comfortable upright riding position, wide handlebars and all-new seat design that makes for a great commuting, sport or touring bike. Standard features include traction control, ABS and all-new multi-function meter. The FJ-09 comes in both Deep Metallic Red and Matte Metallic Grey.

Also new for 2015 is the redesigned Yamaha TMAX. Improvements for 2015 include a 41mm inverted fork, radial mount 4-piston front brakes, a revised front fender and fairing with brilliant LED headlights. However, the most exciting new feature is the Smart Key System. Similar to what is found on your car, the ignition switch, seat & steering locks are now electronically operated. The MSRP of the 2015 Yamaha TMAX is $10,499 and is available in Dark Metallic Grey.
