Yamaha has rounded out its 2018 Canadian model lineup with the announcement of additional new and returning models, highlighted by the Tracer 900 sport tourer and the revamped MT-07 (formerly FZ-07) naked roadster.

Previously known as the FJ-09, the 2018 Tracer 900 comes with a host of revisions highlighted by new body styling, a larger windscreen that’s easier to adjust, a longer swingarm for better road feel, and more comfortable seating. Further enhancements include a newly designed handlebar setup, integrated side-case mounts, a new rear frame, new passenger grips, and repositioned passenger footpegs.

With its sporty 847 cc three-cylinder engine, sport-minded suspension, upright riding position and a 214 kg (472 lb) wet weight, the Tracer 900 transitions seamlessly from the city to the highway to the twisties without hesitation. Standard ABS, traction control, D-Modes and an 18-litre fuel tank further position the 2018 Tracer 900 as an incredibly versatile sport touring machine offering tremendous value at an attractive price.

Also for the 2018 model year, Yamaha has introduced the renamed MT series, replacing the FZ family. This includes the revised MT-07—which builds upon the popular FZ-07 platform with fresh styling, upgraded suspension, new seats and more—plus the MT-09 and MT-10.

The R series of sport models also returns for 2018 including the flagship R1, the MotoGP-inspired R1M, R6 and entry-level R3.

A comprehensive list of upgrades and specifications for the entire 2018 Yamaha motorcycle lineup can be found at www.yamaha-motor.ca.
