There will be a double-book launch in Toronto on Thursday, October 24 for the young adult novel TT: Full Throttle, the debut novel from Nicole Winters.

The first launch will take place from 11:30am-2:00pm at the Chapters/Indigo location at 600 University Ave. (just inside Mt. Sinai Hospital), and the second will be that evening from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Studio Cycle Group (www.studiocyclegroup.com) at 2923 Dundas St. West.

Winters will bring a variety of TT motorcycle racing research memorabilia and the evening launch will feature Canadian road racers Pat Barnes and Michelle (Michael) Duff, who both participated in the famous Isle of Man TT.

TT: Full Throttle is about Scott, a talented motorcycle road racer from British Columbia, and his inexperienced pit-crew who travel overseas with the one hope of qualifying to race in the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Races.

Winters travelled to the Isle of Man in 2010 and 2011 to research the book and spoke with organizers, racers, marshals and mechanics. She attended newcomers’ meetings, had a podium finisher take her around the course, and volunteered as a course marshal.

TT: Full Throttle is also the first book for teens about the IOMTT Races.
