That’s right, it’s been 15 years since the first issue of Inside Motorcycles came off the presses back in 1998. In the December issue (Vol. 16, Issue 09) we look back at some of the highlights of the past 15 years. For those that have been reading IM since the very start, it will bring back some fond memories; for new readers, it’ll serve as a bit of a history lesson. You’ll especially like our look back at the racing careers of our writers before they were, well, writers. And of course, the issue’s full of our usual diverse two-wheeled content, so you’ll surely want to pick this one up!
First rides – 2014 has been shaping up as a great year for new motorcycles. It started early with the Yamaha Bolt, then the Honda CTX700 series and in our December issue, we’ve got three more (four, actually) new models to introduce to you – the naked and sporty Yamaha FZ-09, the versatile Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and the Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic and Ultra Limited. We tested them all and we’ve got lots to tell you about them! To read about them, simply click the ‘Subscribe’ button in the menu above, or run to your nearest Chapters/Indigo/Coles bookstore for a copy.
In this issue we also head to Milwaukee for Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary festivities and attend the official introduction of Norton Motorcycles to Canada at a black tie affair at the British Consul’s General’s residence in Toronto. We also teach you how to turn your Honda CB350 into a budget vintage road racer and convert your motocross bike into a serious flat track racer. Plus, we’ve got more tech tips and goodies from John Sharrard and Andrew Trevitt.
