Let the debate begin. Is this a motorcycle? Well, according to Polaris and the government, it is. Whether you think this is a motorcycle or not, the Polaris Slingshot is one unique vehicle, full of top-notch technology that aids in both safety and performance, including traction control, stability control and anti-lock braking. All of these can be turned off if you want the full experience, but even with you being in full control, the Slingshot is remarkably stable.

Aggresive styling and a super low centre of gravity make the Slingshot a real eye catcher.

Using the 173 hp powerplant from the Pontiac Solstice, the Slingshot has exceptional acceleration.

When you step on the gas, it feels like you have been shot out of a Slingshot.

Adjusting the belt tension is a simple procedure that makes maintenance a breeze.

A full set of instruments keeps you informed with what is going on, and a five-speed manual transmission gives you ultimate control of the driving experience.

A tube frame makes up the Slingshot’s skeleton.

The five-speed manual transmission has a short throw and shifts precisely.

When going for a ride with Polaris’s professional driver, you really get a sense of what the Slingshot can do and the high level of performance that has been built into it.

Once you turn off the traction control, the Slingshot lets loose.

Even with such a low centre of gravity and seating position, the Slingshot is comfortable to drive. The layout and performance give you a very real sense of confidence
