The March/April issue of Inside Motorcycles is landing in subscriber mailboxes and on better newsstands across Canada at this very moment!
The cover of Volume 19, Issue 01 of IM features Senior Editor Colin Fraser dropping a knee down on the new-for-2015 Yamaha R1M in the Alabama rain. Race-ready out of the box, the R1M and the base R1 model seriously impressed everyone last year with a slew of changes that position it as a frontrunner in 2016 road race competition.
If speed and tech ain’t your cups of tea, perhaps you’ll get a kick out of our review of the 2016 Harley-Davidson Softail Slim S, which is powered by H-D’s meaty Screamin’ Eagle Twin Cam 110B engine. We spent a week with the army-themed cruiser last fall and discovered that this is one cool-looking, comfy and brash motorcycle. You’ll find it in our March/April issue!
Scrambled over ice? Calgary’s Bow Cycle created a custom Ducati Scrambler for the brand’s #customrumble online contest and developed a bike that absolutely screams Winter in Canada. 1,200 ice studs were jammed into the tires and, well, you’ll just have to open up the magazine to see our big double-page spread of the ‘IceTrack Pro’ against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
Jordan Szoke gets interviewed in the latest issue as well, after the veteran road racer wrapped up a record 10th Canadian Superbike championship in 2015. Find out what his plans are for 2016 (hint: expect to see him cross the border a few times!) in the Competition section of our March/April issue!
For those of you that are still shopping for a bike for the upcoming season, we bring our second installment of buyers’ guides for 2016 – our Touring, Adventure & Dual Sport buyers’ guides will fill you in with specs and photos from every bike that fits the bill!
For the touring fan, former IM columnist Steve Hoffarth brings us all a cool story about a ride to Texas and back during which he stopped to go vintage racing at the famed Barber Motorsports Park. It’s a fun read, and with Steve’s luck, something was bound not to go smoothly…
And of course, you’ll also find our regular fleet of columnists sharing stories and opinions from the inside, plus the same wonderful photography and sharp design you’ve come to expect from Canada’s Source for Motorcycle News!
