Well, June has come and gone, but we wanted to keep you updated on how our season is going !!!

JUNE 7: Welland, ON – We headed to the first of two Flat Track Canada races held at the Welland County Speedway. I’ve had great luck there riding my Honda DTX bike and I’ve finally got my Honda framer together and it seems to be working great as well at our local track. I felt fast in practice and was able to win my 450 heat race and in my Open Pro my chain broke as the light went green which was a huge bummer because now I’d have to start on the back row for the main event! In the 450 main event I finished a close 2nd. The open main was going to be tough coming from the back but I knew I had the speed to make it to the front by the end of the 15 lapper. I got a good start and was picking guys off and moving towards the front with one lap to go I was in 3rd and I was moving in fast on the leaders, I made my move but I came up about 6 feet short of the win.

JUNE 15: Knoxville, IA – The AMA series moved onto the clay half-mile in Knoxville, Iowa. The fast track is one of my favourites and I was stoked it was back on the schedule. But the day didn’t go as planned. I was having some handling problems through qualifying and thought we had a plan for the heat race but as we started the bike for the heat race it was making some nasty noises and I was forced to ride the back up bike that I hadn’t ridden all day. I squeaked into the main event and ended up 15th on the day. After finishing 6th at the last race there my sights were set pretty high but 15th was all I could salvage.

JUNE 21: Welland, ON – Back to Welland for the second Flat Track Canada race! I felt awesome all day on either bike I rode. I won both my heat races and swept both the main events to have a perfect night!

JUNE 27: Greenville, OH – The Friday before Lima we hit a race in near by Greenville, Ohio for a warm up before Lima. I had a great day, winning my heat race and finishing 3rd in the final and felt confident as we rolled into Lima.

JUNE 28: Lima, OH – I’ve always struggled at Lima and this day was no different, in a pretty stacked heat race I finished 7th which would put me on the front row for the semi. In the semi I was running one spot out of the last transfer spot closing in on the position when I hit a huge hole and my chain came off the bike! I rode well but it was too little too late. I’m excited to move on into the busier part of our season in July.

JULY RACES
July 5: Hagerstown, MD – AMA Grand National
July 12: Welland, ON – CMA National
July 19: Grays Harbor – AMA Grand National
July 25: Lodi, CA
July 26: Sacramento, CA – AMA Grand National

Looking forward to July !!!
