(November 4, 2014), MARKHAM, ON – With today’s announcement of the latest 2015 motorcycles, Honda celebrates the racing success of its factory MotoGP team. Commemorating record-breaking achievements on the way to successive premier-class world championships, a limited-edition CBR1000RR SP will be proudly offered in the Repsol Honda Team replica colours. Honda Canada is also introducing returning models in the Adventure Touring, Cruiser, Dual Sport and Scooter categories, plus the latest update to the Pioneer 700 side by side.
“Honda has a long record of success on the racetrack, and we’re proud to recognize the company’s latest accomplishments with a special edition of the CBR1000RR,” said Derek Verheyen, National Sales Manager of Motorcycle & ATV at Honda Canada. “The CBR supersport series has achieved a myriad of accomplishments in its own right, so we’re happy to offer the
SP litre bike in the Repsol Honda Colours of our world championship MotoGP team.”
Marc Marquez has taken the MotoGP world by storm over the past two seasons. Combined with his teammate Dani Pedrosa’s strength and consistency, Honda has extended their streak of MotoGP Constructor’s and Team Championships to 4 years. Honda is celebrating by offering its CBR1000RR SP with special edition Repsol bodywork, as well as a distinctive championship badge on the fuel tank. These editions come with #93 and #26 number plate graphics, enabling owners to show their support for either Marc Marquez or Dani Pedrosa.
The CBR1000RR SP begins its path to a pure riding experience with the hand-selection of pistons and connecting rods. Each batch of pistons and rods are weighed, and those that most closely match the middle (ideal) tolerance – and each other – are chosen. This gives the engine an even greater level of balance when it is most needed, at the high rpm generated when on the track. Racetrack handling is courtesy of fully adjustable Öhlins front and rear suspension and the light-weight rear sub-frame. Brembo front brakes and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC premium tires add a few more of the finishing touches to this Special Edition CBR1000RR.

The CBR1000RA achieves a level of harmony that Honda calls ‘Total Control’; connecting machine and rider and striving for an instinctual feel in operation. Appreciated as much on the street as on the racetrack, ‗Total Control’ is no doubt part of the reason that Honda’s CBRs enjoy such a strong reputation for everyday usability. Also contributing to that reputation is a level of comfort rarely found in a machine designed for such aggressive riding. With the world’s first race-spec electronic ABS, a die-cast aluminum twin-spar frame, 43 mm fork, and a deliberately long aluminum ―gull-wing‖ swingarm operating through the MotoGP-derived Unit Pro-Link rear suspension, and featuring a patented Balance Free Rear Shock from Showa, the CBR1000RA delivers outstanding traction and rider feedback. Super-light aluminum-alloy hollow-spoke race-spec wheels with 3.5 x 17-inch front and 6.0 x 17-inch rear dimensions complete the racy package.

A modern sportbike can be an uncompromising thing; comfort, ease of use and everyday practicality are often needlessly sacrificed in the pursuit of performance. Not so with the Honda CBR600RR. There’s no arguing that its performance credentials have kept it in the forefront of 600 cc racing since its introduction. It boasts multiple titles in the Canadian National Pro Sport Bike Championship Series and most recently carried Michael van der Mark to both Rider and Manufacturer titles in the World Supersport Championship. But perhaps even more impressive than its long list of race and championship wins is its reputation on the street. Known as a fun and functional everyday bike with a solid reputation for quality and durability. The CBR600RR touts features like the Honda Electric Steering Damper (HESD), a two stage ram air system, dual stage fuel injection, Showa 41mm Big Piston Fork, a Unit Pro-Link rear suspension system patterned after RC213V MotoGP racer, and the world’s first electronically-controlled Combined ABS for sportbikes (CBR600RA only).

Few motorcycles have earned more dedicated followers than the Honda VFR800F. In 2014 a number of new standard features were introduced, including Traction Control, ABS, full LED lighting, self-cancelling turn signals, 5-stage heated handgrips, as well as an adjustable seat and a center-stand. The passion of the VFR’s fans is not simply a result of comfort and tech features. Hidden underneath the VFR800’s stunning new look is a legendary Honda V-4 engine along with a twin-spar aluminum chassis, a Pro-Arm single-sided swingarm (all-new in 2014) as well as a 43 mm front fork designed to accommodate radial-mount, four-piston brake calipers (all-new in 2014). The VFR800 legend continues.

With adventure-bike styling, an adjustable windscreen and a wide handlebar, the CB500X is equally at home on twisty mountain roads as it is on congested city streets. The CTX700T uses one of the most advanced engines in motorcycling along with a host of chassis innovations to create a truly unique riding experience. Smaller, lighter and easier to manage than a full size touring bike; it offers great fuel economy and features standard ABS. The CTX700T returns in 2015 with a new seating position that moves the rider further forward, closer to the forward-set footpegs, providing an even better touring experience

Honda’s popular CRF250L is a fuel-efficient dual-sport bike that’s both practical and fun and is currently the best-selling dual-sport on the market. The fuel-injected, DOHC single-cylinder engine has electric start and provides plenty of low to midrange torque. Front and rear hydraulic disc brakes are standard equipment. The CRF250L has the long motocross-style seat and upright body positioning found on all of Honda’s off road line up, making it as comfortable in the dirt as it is on the road.
Touting the convenience and approachability of a scooter but with the highway-ready power of a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 279cc engine, the Forza™ is a master of adaptability. With features like a CVT automatic transmission, ABS, enough storage for two helmets and a 12-volt power outlet, it’s ready for everything from commuting to two-up weekend fun.

Thanks to its stripped-down styling, wide tires and dual headlights, the Ruckus has certainly fostered its own underground culture. Combining MX-focused parts like the Honda Progressive Steering Damper with trail-ready features including a headlight, LED taillight, electric starter and 18-inch rear wheel, Honda created a great off-roader that’s ready for everything from the woods to the desert. The 449cc liquid-cooled engine with Unicam head and titanium intake valves delivers a wide, smooth powerband, and works-style hydraulic disc brakes front and rear slow things down in a hurry.
While the CRF250X receives technology from Honda’s successful quarter-liter MX machine, it also gets off-road-specific features like a wide-ratio gearbox, retuned suspension and electric starting. The compact, lightweight Unicam engine has twin-sump lubrication, a gear-driven counterbalancer, and a standard aluminum Renthal handlebar.
Honda’s do-it-all Pioneer 700 has taken the side-by-side world by storm, and now it has new dual-rate suspension designed to deliver a smooth ride while still providing plenty of travel and superior load-carrying capacity. It also has a hydraulic-assisted tilt bed; durable, beltless automatic transmission; long-travel, double-wishbone front and rear suspension; and rubber-mounted 675cc liquid-cooled engine. There are also a number of comfort and convenience features as well as a long list of available accessories. The four-person Pioneer 700-4 boasts the industry’s first convertible rear seating design, which can switch from seating configurations for two, three or four people, and for 2015 it is available in a new Metallic Silver.
