The 2025 Flat Track Canada season wrapped up with round six at Georgian Downs south of Barrie, ON on Saturday night, September 13. French Canadian racers dominated the Expert category action, with KTM’s Gabriel Boisvert winning the Open feature from the Picotte Performance entries of Loic Nadeau (KTM) and Jordan Beaulac (GasGas), while in the stock-framed Expert DTX category, second generation ace Beaulac won from Boisvert and Nadeau.

On a cool but dry fall evening, the big Barrie track offered near optimum conditions, and the twenty lap feature opened with the revamped Kurt Beiger-built Honda framer of newly confirmed 2025 overall National number one Liam Caskie jumping into the lead from Boisvert, Beaulac, Nadeau and Brandon Seguin (Evans Rotax).
By mid-race Caskie had faded to fourth, while Boisvert had a small but useful lead from Beaulac and opening heat winner, 17-year-old Nadeau. With four laps to go, Nadeau got past pal Beaulac, victor in the second Feature class heat race, for second, setting the final running order.
Post race, Dofralex-backed Boisvert was quiet at the podium, but did speak in French to congratulate his podium friends and thank his sponsors. The second and third placed runners’ thanks former factory racer and multi time Canadian road racing number one Pascal Picotte and his Granby-area motorcycle business.

Meanwhile, the top three in the final Championship standings also celebrated, new number one Caskie joined by runner-up Brandon Seguin and American Justin Jones (6th on a KTM Twin framer). Then a hasty recount indicated that the popular Jones was not third overall but in fact Clayton Isherwood, a distance 9th after issues in the race, got the spot in the standings.

Seguin, shocked to see that his machine was missing the cam belt cover post-race, explained that after the death of his brother, he had not planned to compete in 2025. He also enjoyed the track more than previous, although “it never quite grooved up the way I would have liked. And my bike was cutting out, so I just couldn’t really get going.”
Aged just 15, Caskie was grateful for “one hell of a season, that’s for sure, it’s been back and forth all year. I can’t thank Kurt Beiger enough, I always have a fast bike. Tonight, I took off in the lead, so that was a good change. My dream was to get an Expert Championship in Canada, but I didn’t think I could do it this year.” Caskie thanks his parents, Rider’s Choice, American Harley-Davidson and Steve Beattie’s 26 Suspension, as well as “all of Kurt Beiger’s sponsors, too!”
In DTX action, the French-Canadian trio continued their domination, with Jordan Beaulac, son of flat track legend Dominic, working to the front for the win from Boisvert and Nadeau.

Early in the season, there was a possible Quebec final Flat Track Canada National race “TBD,” and it seems that such an event would have been an impressive benefit for the Boisvert/Beaulac/Nadeau buddy act.
Maybe next year?
