(BOWMANVILLE, Ont. – Aug. 9, 2017) Canada’s biggest motorcycle road racing event of the year is set for Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) August 18-20.

The weekend features Canada’s top motorcycle road racers as they compete for the national Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship, as well as a full slate of off-track, family-friendly activities including 11-time National Champion Jordan Szoke’s Extreme Show.

While Lynden, Ontario’s Szoke will be focused and looking to secure his third consecutive (and 12th overall) Mopar Pro Superbike Championship, his talented team of Extreme Show riders will perform a high-adrenaline freestyle motocross show on Saturday and Sunday. The show presented by GP Bikes, your motorcycle Megastore! is unlike traditional motocross – freestyle places more emphasis on the abilities of the daredevil riders who perform mesmerizing jumps over a stretch of up to 75-feet, providing a fun and unique experience for race fans to watch.

Access to paddock areas and exciting off-track action is included with the purchase of an event ticket and fans are encouraged to have their Sharpies, weekend souvenir programs and cameras handy because there will be excellent opportunities to meet and speak with riders.

On-track, national titles will also be secured in other classes including Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike, Magneti Marelli Amateur Superbike, Shoei Helmets Amateur Sport Bike and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 Racing Series – the weekend schedule includes an action-packed slate of racing action.

“We are excited to welcome back some of the best two-wheeled road racers in North America – if you haven’t had the chance to watch a motorcycle race at CTMP, the action is truly amazing,” said Myles Brandt, President and General Manager, CTMP. “And with 2017 marking the 50-year anniversary of the FIM Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix, we proudly celebrate a momentous year within the motor sport community.”

Various ticket packages are available for purchase, including single-day tickets for each day of the weekend, general & RV camping, and a VIP hospitality package for those who would like to be closer to the action in style.
