From the winding twisties of the High Peaks Region, to the smooth roads that travel through forests and along scenic lakeshores, the Adirondack Region of New York offers tailor-made motorcycling adventures throughout the summer and fall.

The Adirondacks are motorcycle-friendly and welcoming, and home to the world’s largest annual motorcycle touring rally, Americade, which kicks off June 1 in Lake George. The event lasts six days and attracts motorcyclists from across the country. Enjoy live music, stunt shows, guided touring rides, boat tours on Lake George, seminars and ziplining, hot air ballooning and organized entertainment.

Just up the road on May 29, Warrensburg will host the Adirondack Bike Rally along Main Street with vendors and attractions alongside the 15th annual Warrensburg Bike Rally. The Rally opens May 30 and wraps up June 6, offering free events for touring and sports motorcyclists, including family-friendly activities.

Visit for one of the Adirondacks’ great motorcycle touring rallies, or head out on the open road with one of www.GoTourNY.com’s Tank Maps featuring 16 unique routes through the Adirondack Park, including:

The Center Adirondack Trail – This route travels from Glens Falls to Rome, around the southern tip of Lake George, and then north through the heart of the Adirondacks, stopping in Blue Mountain Lake to tour Great Camp Sagamore and the Adirondack Museum. View, download and print the Tank Map.

The Adirondack Trail – Travel from the town of Fonda just south of the Adirondack Park border, and head north, riding around Revolutionary War and Colonial America sites, including the Johnstown Battlefield, the site of the last battle of the war for independence.  Ride through the Siamese Pond Wilderness, home to a variety of wildlife, and continue north to Malone, just south of the Canadian border. View, download and print the Tank Map.

The Black River Trail – From the Ogdensburg-Prescott International Bridge, head south toward Rome, continuing south for over 100 miles toward Booneville, stopping to visit historic towns and enjoy scenic views. Visit the Dodge-Pratt-Northam Art Institute, the historic Hulbert House and Gould Mansion.  View, download and print the Tank Map.
