(May 16, 2014- The Vintage Road Racing Association is very excited to get their season underway with the opening round at Shannonville Motorsports Park May 30- June 1, ‘The Quinte TT’.

This historic event will again this year be contested on the Pro-Track circuit.  Practice, race school, and endurance racing is Friday.  Sprint race qualifying is on Saturday, and the full schedule of sprint racing on Sunday.

This year’s event will feature the now permanent class of Vintage GP, and also the new trial class of Grand Prix.  Grand Prix is an open class specific for 2-stroke GP race bikes built past the normal VRRA manufacturing date cutoff. The class is not only bringing some exciting and fast racing to the club, but even more importantly it’s bringing some amazing people out of retirement and back to the sport.  Come watch Sheena and Sandy Noce, Eddy Brunet, Paul Rostic, Nicole Pilkington, Angela Heba, Stacey Nesbitt, and many more race their Grand Prix machines in a pure Grand Prix race!

From the early ’50s to the 21-st century, the VRRA has the most diverse field of racing in North America.  Our racing includes four periods of history plus Grand Prix and the largest grid of Road Racing Sidecars on the continent.  The best part?  You’re more than welcome to walk right up to any of them and strike up a conversation. Our racers aren’t hired guns flogging machines for pay.  Our machines are part of our family, and we’d love to introduce you to our “significant others”!

Come out and experience the sights and sounds of historical motorcycle racing. Huge grids, great racing, and a chance to actually connect with our vast racing heritage.  Check out and remember to “like” our Facebook page to keep up on all the exciting news from the season.  And don’t forget to check out all of our wonderful supporters both there, and on our web page, their support helps keep our racing heritage alive and on-track!  https://www.facebook.com/vrra.ca http://www.vrra.ca

See you all at the track!
