The Canadian Motorcycle Association is pleased to announce the team that will be representing Canada at the 56th running of the Motocross of Nations in Mantova, Italy, September 25-26.
Riding in the MX1 class is Ottawa, Ontario’s Dylan Wright, Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing. The 23 year old is the current Canadian Champion in the MX1 class.
In MX2 we have Abbotsford, British Columbia’s Jacob Piccolo, Sky Racing, MVP, KTM. Jacob is the current Canadian Champion in the MX2 class. At 18 years of age he will be the youngest rider to represent Canada at the MXON.
Rounding out the team in the MX3 class is Springhill, Nova Scotia’s Tyler Medaglia on the Callus Moto Gas Gas. The 34 year old has been on Team Canada at the MXON more than any other rider in Canada. He will be the oldest rider to compete for Canada at the event. He was 4th overall at this year’s Nationals in MX1. Tyler is also representing Team Canada at the International Six Days Enduro being held in Italy August 30 thru September 4.
Team Manager is Chatsworth, Ontario’s Carl Bastedo. Carl has been the Team Manager for Canada at 8 Motocross of Nations starting at Lierop, The Netherlands in 2004.
Team Operations Liaison is Germany’s Oskar Zehmer. Oskar has arranged for the Italian SS Migliori Gas Gas team to look after Canada’s practice day, pit presence and hospitality at this year’s event.
Our Rider and Mechanic liaison is Zeb Dennis. Zeb is a USMCA Certified Coach and a Canadian Pro Motocross and BMX rider. He has attended a number of MXON’s assisting Team Canada.
Team shipping is being arranged by Andre Laurin of OTSFF Group Freight Forwarders. The company has arranged for Team Canada’s logistics for a number of years.
