10th Anniversary of International Female Ride Day is This Saturday‏

@FemaleRideDay • @MOTORESS •May 6, 2016 (Toronto, Canada) – This Saturday, May 7, from Toronto to Australia, Alaska to Kenya, thousands of women around the world are gearing up and preparing their motorcycles to “Just Ride!” in celebration of the tenth International Female Ride Day© Women riders of the GTA will demonstrate their passion for the activity this Saturday, taking their motorcycles to the road and join others around the world in the synchronized “Just Ride!” action, 7 May. The event profiles and highlights the many numbers of women motorcycle riders within a mostly male dominated world of motorcycling. This global phenomenon or “movement” as is often referred to, started in Toronto by Canadian and motorcycling advocate Vicki Gray, founder of MOTORESS® International® – giving Toronto a distinctive meaning to the event.

The Toronto tenth edition of International Female Ride Day© kicks off with an 8.30 city meetup group photo at Nelson Phillips Square followed by a group ride via designed city route. The group will wrap up at Lakeshore and Leslie Boston Pizza.

High numbers, of women are expected and all women riders are welcome.

11:45 am – 12:00 pm Ride to Boston Pizza, Leslie Lakeshore via Queens Quay & Lakeshore

12:00pm – 1:30 pm Boston Pizza / Parking Lot / Finale Rally

About International Female Ride Day© – International Female Ride Day© is a globally synchronized ride day for women motorcycle riders. Its theme of “JUST RIDE! ©” asks women to be on their motorcycles, scooters or trike’s on the first Saturday of May each year. It was created by Vicki Gray in 2007 with the purpose of highlighting and profiling women who enjoy the activity of motorcycling. Its mission is to that of building awareness of female motorcyclists across all cultures while encouraging other women to take up the sport. The event is managed under the MOTORESS® canopy.
