Italian motorcycle brand Zaeta, ‘the motorcycle of urban rebels’, will be racing in Canadian flat track events this year. Motorsports Canada Ltd., the exclusive North American distributor for Zaeta, made the announcement recently at a Flat Track Canada social event held at Town Moto in Toronto. They have inked former CMA champion Braden Vallee to a deal to ride the Zaeta 530 DT for the 2014 race season.
“Zaeta has been competing in Europe for a few seasons and has had great success with Marco Belli riding the bike,” said Michael Wells, C.E.O. of Motorsports Canada Ltd. “We are eager to see the bike tear it up here in Canada. We first met Braden at the motorcycle show in Toronto and we were immediately impressed with his passion and desire for the sport. He is a great choice to represent our brand on the track.”
Vallee is just one of the many that are eager to see the bike on the track for the first time.
“That bike is a beauty and I can’t wait to throw a leg over it and try it out,” said the 17-year-old from Kitchener, ON. “Thanks to Michael Wells, Motorsports Canada and Zaeta for making this happen. I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to get this season going in a couple of weeks.”
Vallee’s first race aboard the bike will be the Flat Track Canada season opening double-header on May 17 at the Paris Fairgrounds in Paris, ON.
