DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Canadian coffee icon Tim Hortons -Sudbury returns as the primary sponsor for Ben Young’s #86 Yamaha R6 for his return to the prestigious Daytona 200. The Daytona 200 is the first race of the GEICO AMA Pro Road Racing 2013 season being held at the legendary Daytona International Speedway this weekend, March 14-16.

Tim Hortons –Sudbury heads up the “Canadian Coalition”, a group of Canadian-based companies looking to expand their brands in the U.S. This group of respected companies includes Hindle Exhaust Systems, DUA Motorsports Bodywork, Bickle Racing Tire Warmers, and the North American International Motorcycle SUPERSHOW.

The 19-year-old resident of Thornbury, Ont. is extremely proud to team-up once again with Tim Hortons-Sudbury franchisee Gilles Bolduc to contest the 2013 AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike championship.

“I can’t thank Tim Hortons -Sudbury and Gilles enough for supporting me and the BYR team again this year,” Young said. “Tim Hortons is the largest quick service restaurant chain in Canada and it’s the first pit-stop on the way to work for myself and most Canadians. It’s an honour to represent such an iconic brand.”

Bolduc is a former Canadian Superbike road racer himself.

“Ben had a few glitches during last year’s event but he rode a strong mature race and showed the kind of determination and composure that it takes to win,” he said. “Ben and the BYR team did an astounding job of representing the Tim Hortons brand last season and he’s now aligned with some very supportive companies and people to help further his progress this season.”

KICK Energy Drink, Performance Cycleworx, Performance Friction Brakes and B-17 now join a notable list of Young’s long-time sponsors returning for the 2013 season: Scotbuild Developments, Fogi Racing, Arai Helmets, GP Tech LLC, K&N Filters, BCL Motorsports Pit Kit, Vortex Racing and Motul Oils.

In preparation for this weekend’s Daytona 200 Young completed a successful test of his #86 Tim Hortons–Sudbury/Yamaha R6, prepared by Gerry Daggett and assisted by Performance Cycleworx, at Jennings GP circuit in Florida.
