NEWARK, DE – December 20, 2013 – Just in time for the holidays, VP Racing Fuels, Inc. announced the introduction of its VP Small Engine Fuel in Canada. Engineered by the experts at VP Racing Fuels specifically for portable outdoor gas-powered equipment, VP Small Engine Fuel (VP-SEF) is formulated with no ethanol to prevent problems associated with ethanol-blended street gas.

VP-SEF provides easier, more dependable starts and extended engine life. Because it remains stable for at least two years, it’s a perfect fuel to protect equipment while in storage during the off-season. It can also make a great holiday gift for the “do-it-yourselfers” among your friends and family.

With an octane rating of 94 (R+M/2), VP-SEF protects small engines while operating in extreme conditions. It enables any gas-powered outdoor power equipment including chain saws, cutting tools, generators and snow blowers, to start easier and operate more efficiently.

VP-SEF is available in three versions – an unleaded gasoline blend for 4-cycle equipment and two blends pre-mixed with oil at 50:1 and 40:1 for 2-cycles. The Pre-Mix blends are ready-to-use, requiring no measuring or mixing. Each blend is available in 5-Gallon (US) pails and 54-Gallon (US) drums. The Pre-Mix blends are also available in quart containers, a practical and convenient size for 2-cycle equipment that uses relatively small amounts of fuel.

“VP Small Engine Fuel is now available from our distributors and their dealers in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta, and we expect the product to be fully distributed throughout VP’s Canadian dealer network within a few weeks, making it available from PEI to Vancouver,” said Jim Kelly, VP’s Regional Manager for Racing Fuels. “We initially developed the product in response to requests from Fire Departments in the United States that were struggling with hard starts and no-starts with their emergency equipment. All their problems were directly related to ethanol-blended street gas and in developing VP Small Engine Fuel, we’ve eliminated that problem.”

While finding immediate success in rescue equipment, VP-SEF is now used by municipal authorities, arborists, construction crews, utility workers and farmers, ranchers and residential landscapers to ensure their equipment starts on command and runs efficiently until the job is complete. VP-SEF also eliminates the frustration associated with down-time and the cost associated with expensive repairs, making it the most cost-effective solution to ethanol-related problems.
