Try Supermoto for Free: Membership Fees Waived for Final Round at Shannonville

Have you ever wanted to try Supermoto racing? Supermoto Ontario promoters have decided to waive the membership fee (a $75 value) for anyone who wants to try Supermoto at the final round of the Supermoto Ontario series at Shannonville Motorsport Park, September 15-16. For a modest fee of $30, riders can also come out and try the track at Shannonville on Saturday evening.

This event will be the 5th and final round of the Canadian National Supermoto Championship and the final round of the Ontario Provincial Championship. Year end awards will be presented following the races. This will be an event not to be missed!
***Special for this weekend only: No SMO membership required***If you’ve been sitting on the fence waiting to try Supermoto now is the time!

Saturday September 15 – Practice 5:30pm to dusk
$30 (cash only ATM onsite). Bikes and ATVs must pass technical inspection
Racing registration begins Saturday afternoon
Overnight camping is free

Sunday September 16 – Racing: Bikes and ATVs must pass technical inspection
Classes:Mini
Pavement Only (minimum 4 riders required)
Novice
Open Amateur
Veteran 35+
SM2 250cc
SM1 Semi Pro
Pro Open
ATV Amateur (no slick tires allowed)
ATV Pro

Entry Fees: Amateur1st class – $95
2nd class – $55
3rd class – $45
Pro
1st class – $125
2nd class – $55
3rd class – $45
Pro Payout for Pro Open and Pro ATV
Entry fees to be paid in CASH only. There is an ATM onsite.

Transponders are required for timing and scoring. Shannonville uses the AMB transponder system for the yellow or red 160x or 260x models. The orange MX units will not work. The rental fee is $30. A $50 deposit is taken at time of rental which is returned when the transponder is returned. Credit cards are accepted for the transponder rental.

Tentative Schedule:Technical inspection and registration begins at 7:30am
Riders Meeting 8:45 Attendance is Mandatory for racers
Practice: 9:00-10:30 Practice laps are timed to set grids for heat races
Qualifiers 10:45 Am 5 laps, Pro 6. Finishing order will set grids for finals
Lunch 12:30-1:30 Amateur 7 laps, Pro 8. Pros and SM1 will run 2 motos for their finals
Races 1:30 Amateur 7 laps, Pro 8. Pros and SM1 will run 2 motos for their finals
Awards: 4:30
Actual schedule will be available on race day

Canadian National Championship top 3 number plates will be awarded after the races.

Ontario Provincial Championship Awards will be presented after the races. Awards will be as follows:
Novice Open – 1 set of Michelin Supermoto tires ($395 value)
Open Amateur – $250 gift card to Powersports Canada Honda/Yamaha
SM1 Semi Pro Open – $250 gift card to Powersports Canada Honda/Yamaha
Vet 35+ Open – Nine one Nine Designs Custom SMO graphics kit ($200 value)
Sportsman – Pavement Only – Maxima Race lubricants prize pack
Mini – Maxima Race lubricants prize pack
SM2 250 – Maxima Race lubricants prize pack
SMX Pro-Open – Per event pay back
ATV Amateur – Alpinestars Gear Bag
ATV – Per event pay back
