Canadian Patrick Beaule successfully completed the grueling 2013 Dakar event on Saturday, finishing in 62nd position overall on his KTM. Only 67 percent of the motorcycles that took the start finished the rally, which covered just over 8,000km in 14 days.
This was the second Dakar appearance for the St-Bruno, Que. native, who is KTM’s Eastern Sales Manager, and he has completed the event both times.
At the finish, Beaule proposed to his girlfriend (now fiancee) Frederique Saindon (pictured) and she said, “yes” — surely the most memorable event in Beaule’s life and racing career!
