World renowned Italian motorcycle clothing company Spyke has entered into an exclusive agreement with Sport Dinaco Inc. of Montreal to distribute its product in Canada beginning in the spring 2014.

Spyke was founded in 1979 by Fulvio Bizzotto, a manufacturer of leather garments. It was in the late 1980s and early 1990s that Spyke became known among world road racing champions as best in quality, safety, and practicality. The year 2000 marked a turning point as Spyke riders Kenny Roberts Jr. (500 cc class) and Italian Roberto Locatelli (125 cc class) won titles. A close collaboration with professional riders is the source of constant improvements in the technical details that also marks Spyke’s Touring and Urban collections.

In October 2012, Spyke was purchased by Gitexpoint Srl of Caerano San Marco (TV), Italy. Their philosophy is to offer great quality and their passion is the world of sport. Gitexpoint has built a reputation of leadership where quality, image and technology are second to none.

Sport Dinaco Inc., was founded in 1972 by Larry Nardone in Laval, Quebec. Sport Dinaco Inc. quickly became renowned for its quality products and outstanding service. Initially, Sport Dinaco serviced the Ski Industry and represented lines such as Garmont, Blizzard, Marker, Thule, Raichle and K2 to name a few. As the years passed, Sport Dinaco Inc. became more involved in the Outdoor Industry with high end brands including Lowa, Tecnica, Vaude, Seirus, Rohner, X-Bionic, X-Socks, Inno, Hollywood and Gloryfy.

“We are very excited to add Spyke to our portfolio of high quality brands. The Spring 2014 collection has further reinforced our belief in the brand. The reputation of Spyke’s leathers is legendary and their Waterproof and Textile collections are outstanding. We will be offering to the Canadian consumer the best possible quality, safety and comfort. I have no doubt that Spyke will spike everyone’s interest!” said Mr. Nardone.

Spyke will be available at select shops in Spring 2014.
