Radically New Shell Engineering: Touting a lightweight design that has an extremely compact volume due to four different shells and six dual density-EPS liner configurations, the R2000 is fine tuned for aerodynamic performance and exceptional fitment. Scorpion’s revolutionary TCT® (Thermodynamic Composite Technology) shell technology is a five-layer proprietary blend of interlaced and specially formulated materials that work to decrease weight yet provide the structural stability to meet or exceed SNELL and DOT standards.
All-new Ellip-Tec® Shield & Base Plate System: Scorpion’s all new Ellip-Tec® ratchet mechanism is the result of relentless engineering to create a MotoGP worthy shield system that incorporates the needs of everyday riders. The symmetrical elliptical movement pulls the shield back against the eye port gasket to ensure a proper seal in the closed position yet maintains a quick-release mechanism for fast and complication-free shield changes.
