This summer, Canada’s largest motorcycle charity fundraiser, Ride for Sight, saw participants from across Canada rally together and raise over $700,000 for vision research.
From Alberta, Newfoundland, the Maritimes and central Ontario, to the Northwest Territories and even a new ride in northern Ontario, riders got together to enjoy a weekend of bike games, stunt shows, live entertainment and the traditional motorcycle parade – a highlight of Ride for Sight for many fundraisers.
The Ride for Sight mission is to find the causes, treatments and, ultimately, the cures for retinitis pigmentosa, macular degeneration and related retinal diseases by supporting research and public awareness. More than one million Canadians are affected by Age Related Macular Degeneration and other blinding retinal conditions.
