Bring the Noise—Racing Returns

Written by  Trev Daley / One Speed Inc on Tuesday, 14 July 2020 10:15

After the most peculiar, unnaturally extended off-season in anyone’s memory, the truncated 2020 Canadian Superbike Series ( kicks off July 25 with round one at Calabogie Motorsport Park near Ottawa, and Trevor Daley couldn’t be happier.

Never one to let his hands sit idle, Trevor has been tweaking his Suzuki GSX-R1000 to within an inch of its life, and hit the track this past weekend at a Pro6 Cycle Calabogie track day to gather data at a facility the series hasn’t visited since 2015.

But racing, of course, isn’t just about hitting the track. It’s about hitting the gym, too. Working with a trainer last year helped Trevor boost his fitness levels, and he wasn’t going to let a pandemic take the edge of his hard-earned gains. Continuing training at his home gym with some self fabricated gym equipment as well as equipment on loan from 2019 CSBK champion Ben Young , Trevor has been known to row with his Shoei atop his head, all the better to simulate racing conditions when racing is on a hiatus.
The only consistency in 2020 is inconsistency, so it’s unsurprising that the usual racing weekend schedule has been jettisoned for a truncated schedule that has practice, qualifying, and two races taking place on a single day at Calabogie.

Unfortunately, Calabogie’s round will take place without spectators, but Trevor is indebted to those fans who’ve followed his career and supported his program via his instagram account @Onespeedinc.

Trevor encourages fans to follow his social media—for regular updates and for further news on additional 2020 CSBK race events.

With gratitude for support in 2020 to: Suzuki Canada, Liqui-Moly, Shoei Helmets USA,, Renthal, GB Racing, TEAM LTD, Tim McGill Photography, DP Brakes, Excellence Automotive
