In one of the shortest retirements of all time, Don Newlove Racing has announced that Mike Scott will be returning to competition in pursuit of the 2020 NHRA Top Fuel Harley Championship.
Earlier this year, Scott, whose resume include the 2014 IHRA Top Fuel Harley Championship and a 2008 CMDRA Championship, had announced his intention to retire from racing. However, with the announcement from Don Newlove Racing, it appears that Scott will be back on track in 2020.
Here is the complete announcement from Don Newlove Racing:
Announcing "Don Newlove Racing." After making a deal with Big Kids Racing owner Nate, Don will be campaigning the V60 ProCharger Blower Bike for the 2020 Top Fuel Harley Class.
Don is pleased to announce that Veteran Rider Mike Scott has agreed to get back into action with Don who was the crew chief when Mike got his TFH licence in 2003. A big thank you to Tridyne Projects our title sponsor. The Big Kids Racing Blower Bike that Don build several years ago, is headed back to Don Newlove Racing's shop to be refit for the 2020 season. We are all so excited over putting a team together that we feel can compete at the extreme level of the completion at each event. Don is very excited about the new team going into the NHRA 2020 season.
