Toronto Supercross: Villopoto Wins Again

TORONTO (March 24, 2012) – The 12th race of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, hosted 47,010 Canadian enthusiasts on Saturday night, to boast its largest crowd to date inside the Rogers Centre. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, of Poulsbo, Wash., captured his series-leading seventh win of the season to extend his points lead and inch closer to defending his Supercross Class title. In the Supercross Lites Class, GEICO Honda’s Justin Barcia, of Ochlocknee, Ga., raced to his fifth win in six races of the Eastern Regional Championship.

Ted Glinny returns to Pro Bike & Sled Series for 2012

The winner of the last Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products event will be back for the 2012 season.

"We’re going to give it a go," said Pro Bike rider Ted Glinny, who won the 2011 season closer at the Cayuga Dragway. "I’m in the process of building a good motor for the season."

MotoGP Testing Concludes in Jerez

The MotoGP class was blessed with close to ideal conditions at Jerez on Sunday, where the third and final day of the Official Test took place. With the first practice session of the season's opening race – the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar – less than two weeks away, all 21 riders who will make up the elite category grid in 2012 were able to pack in a full day's work at the southern Spanish circuit thanks to clear blue skies and favourable temperatures.

Celtic Racing Reports on Daytona

Celtic Racing celebrated St. Patrick's Day with another podium finish at Daytona, and the lead in both the SuperSport East and SuperSport West classes! Corey Alexander rode a close and hard race to bring home the #5 National Guard/Fairhills Group Suzuki GSX-R 600 in 2nd place in Saturday's AMA Pro Racing SuperSport event. Teammate James Rispoli lead a majority of the ten lap race, finishing just behind in fourth place on the Celtic Orient Express Racing Suzuki GSX-R 600.

AMA Testing Results from Homestead

AMA Pro Racing testing wrapped up today at Homestead Miami Speedway with Yoshimura Racing's Blake Young on top of the Superbike leaderboard with a time of 1:21:987.  Fellow Suzuki GSXR1000 pilots Roger Hayden (1:22:132) and Ben Bostrom (1:22:159) rounded out the top three while defending champion Josh Hayes finished the final session of the day in 4th position with a time of 1:22:567 aboard his Monster Energy Graves Yamaha.

Darren James finishes Top Ten at Daytona

From Deeley Harley-Davidson Canada- Ruthless Racing Inc.-sponsored Darren James opened his season at 71st in the running of the Daytona 200 Sportbike race, as well as the AMA Pro Road Racing, Vance and Hines XR1200® Series opening round, in which he achieved a solid 5th place finish.
