The Vintage Road Racing Association Announces 2014 Calendar

January 1, 2014-  The Vintage Road Racing Association (VRRA) has settled their racing schedule for 2014.  The VRRA is proud to announce it has no conflicting dates in 2014 with other vintage motorcycle clubs.  As a matter of fact, the entire North American vintage racing community has managed to cooperatively create the 2014 racing schedule with only one conflicting date!

VRRA Season Ending Announcements

On the 16th of November, the Vintage Road Racing Association held its final event of the 2013 season, the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Chris Hurst took top honours, earning the Number One plate for the upcoming 2014 season with five race wins across four classes on machines spanning over 20 years of motorcycle racing history!  The heart of the VRRA is the preservation of our racing heritage, and Chris is one of the finest representatives of that spirit.

Quebec GP: Hurst triomphe au grand prix du Québec de la VRRA

L’ontarien Chris Hurst a connu tout un weekend lors de la présentation de la dernière manche du championnat de la VRRA à l’autodrome St-Eustache, ce dernier a gagné la finale de P3M  face a Tim Whyte et Mick Vaclavik pour ainsi se mériter le championnat pour cette classe et il a aussi obtenu deux autres podiums et une quatrième place pour remporter aussi les championnats de P4F3, P4F2 à bord de sa Honda Hawk 650 préparée par Andrew Cuttler et celui de Vintage GPM à bord de sa sa Yamaha TZ350.

VRRA: Quebec GP recap

In spite of a terrible weather forecast, the faithful racers of the Vintage Road Racing Association headed to Autodrome St-Eustache for the final round of the season on September 7-8. Fortunately, Mother Nature (or the racing gods) chose to bless them with incredible temperatures to finish off a turbulent but successful 2013 campaign.

Dernière Manche du Championnat VRRA

C’est à l’Autodrome St-Eustache, les 7 et 8 Septembre prochains, que se déroulera la dernière manche du championnat sur circuit routier Canadien de courses de motos d’époque et classiques de la VRRA.  Après un début de saison rempli d’actions, pas moins de 13 championnats sont encore à déterminer, dont 8 avec moins de 5 points d’écart entre les concurrents.

VRRA Final Round: Quebec GP at St-Eustache

This 7th and 8th of September, The Vintage Road Racing Association will host its final round of the season at Autodrome St-Eustache, 30 minutes outside of Montreal. No less than thirteen class championships are at stake, with eight of those classes hotly contested with less than five points between race leaders.

VRRA Vintage Festival Recap

This past weekend, I was lucky enough to be a part of the VRRA Vintage Festival held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport) outside of Bowmanville, ON. The weather really could not have been better, with comfortable temperatures, plenty of sunshine and no rain! Vintage bikes were everywhere and the action was great.

VRRA Vintage Fest Coming to CTMP next weekend! Aug 23-25

August 23rd, 24th and 25th, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park will host the VRRA Vintage Festival. One visit to this weekend of classic racing will have you hooked.

The Vintage Road Racing Association puts on an incredible racing extravaganza. The club has an incredible array of machines, some of which were built before Mosport’s first event back in 1961.

VRRA Round 2: The Highs and Lows of Vintage Racing

On one of the hottest weekends of the year so far, the enthusiastic racers and fans of the Vintage Road Racing Association gathered at Shannonville Motorsports Park for the annual Summer Classic. With some great highs and some extreme lows, racing was as fierce as ever on the 1.8 km Nelson circuit.

Huge turnout for VRRA opener in Shannonville

Great weather, huge grids and fantastic racing were on hand for the Vintage Road Racing Association’s first race weekend, held May 31-June 2 at Shannonville Motorsport Park.
