Medical Data Carrier to Support Charly Vu for Remainder of 2012Written by on Tuesday, 21 August 2012 09:13
Steve Reed, President of Medical Data Carrier IM Inc. has recently committed to supporting 14 year-old Canadian motorcycle road racer, Charly Vu, for the remainder of the 2012 season.
Charly Vu is currently competing in the RACE Superseries in the 125GP category aboard his Honda RS125. Charly is currently sitting in the number 2 spot in the championship points standings. He was the one and only Canadian participant in the 2012 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup Selection Event hosted at the Motorland Aragon Circuit, Spain.
The Medical Data Carrier is a unique medical Information safety preparedness device that provides critical lifesaving information about a powersports enthusiast in the event of an emergency. The small, highly visible and aerodynamic Medical Data Carrier is affixed to the left side of the helmet. The non-exothermic adhesive is safe on all helmet surfaces. On the outside of the pouch, in bold, bilingual text, the Medical Data Carrier warns non-medical bystanders not to remove a rider’s helmet and to leave that critical task to trained medical responders. The Medical Information Carrier also contains information on the rider's identity and medical history including allergies, medications, blood type and pre-existing medical conditions that will assist trained first responders to expedite the crucial triage stage of a rider's care. Emergency contact and medical plan information enables responders to notify friends and family members of the rider and to provide medical administration with relevant information.
“Motorcycle racing is a dangerous sport and it makes me very happy to be involved with a company that could save mine or another rider’s life should the unthinkable ever happen” said Charly.
Steve Reed, President of Medical Data Carrier IM Inc. states “We are so pleased to be able to support up and coming racing phenom Charly Vu for 2012. He is the type of young racer who exemplifies the heart, soul and talent that is required to be a successful individual both on and off the track.”
