Trails Tours and Ontario Offroad Set for Spring 2013

Written by  on Saturday, 27 April 2013 07:37

This spring seems to be dragging its feet, but the Ganaraska is almost ready to go!

2012 was a great year for Trail tours, we had record attendance, and with continued support from our amazing sponsors, especially the good people at Honda, we are planning for an epic 2013.

We really hope you enjoyed your ride(s) with us, we delight in those smiling faces at the end of the day. If you are thinking of coming back, as a returning rider you will have access to more advanced trails, and will spend less time training. Bring some friends, and make a day of it, we host stags, birthdays, graduations, whatever! A day out with us makes a great gift for that hard to buy for husband / brother / boyfriend / wife / aunt / 2nd cousin etc.

At trail tours, we offer customized off-road training to cater to all degrees of ability. Whether your riding style is conservative, average, above average or technical we ensure that you receive training that fits your comfort level.

Many of our customers have never ridden before, we have an excellent program for those new to trail riding. Our goal is to introduce you in a safe and exciting way to the sport we love so much. Over the last twenty years we have initiated thousands of trail riders.

One of our areas of expertise is introducing street bike riders to the trails. We have a special program designed for those with street riding ability. Skills learned in the dirt serve all riders and improve safety and overall ability on road as well.

This year we will be offering more dual sport tours, (motorcycle licence required) Honda is kindly providing street legal CRF 250Ls, we will take full advantage of these versatile machines and explore their capabilities on and off road, on some scenic routes around central Ontario. Dual sport riding offers incredible opportunities to explore trails and back roads, and get into places few see, often only minutes from home.

Off road motorcycling is one of the most exhilarating things you will ever experience. We have an excellent off-road training facility, and experienced staff, with the world renown Ganaraska forest as our playground you will get to experience a variety of terrain. Experienced or returning riders can also join us on pre planned tours on one of seven brilliant trail systems in Ontario.

Online booking for 2013 is available through our website, or directly here

Off site rides have begun. Ride dates will be posted as they are scheduled and available through our on-line booking system.

In keeping with our "tread lightly" philosophy and our commitment to preserving the forest, Trail Tours will plant a tree for every customer this year.

Junior Red Riders is a great opportunity to reinforce off-road safety for both kids and parents, and have children get comfortable on a bike fit for their size.

Offsite rides
We will be going to many trail systems throughout Ontario all through the year. You are welcome to join us if you have riding experience.

The KTM Trail Ride series will be followed and we'll be able to provide bikes and mechanical support for most of the events.

This year we are offering tours in Port Perry, an hour from downtown toronto. This location offers fantastic single track haven and is only for experienced riders, on weekdays. to book call Steve directly, 705 875 2980.

Trials Training events will be held twice monthly. You can try a trials bike out just for kicks for a small fee. It's a great way to see if you'd like to take the training course. Trials is a slow speed, low impact safe yet exhilarating form of motorcycling for young and old. We do not do extreme manoeuvres so don't be scared off! Cross country Trails tours will take place on a regular basis. These are low key, adventurous expeditions where we take our time to get from our staging area to our destination while visiting lakes and waterfalls in a game preserve with wild life around every corner.

Women's Class: Of course women are welcome to join us any day of the week, but on Saturdays we will be offering women only classes.

Looking forward to seeing you on the trails!
