The RMP Racing and Motovan-sponsored MV Agusta F4 has just completed a very successful two weeks of competition. The team competed and won the first two events entered in 2012, with team riders Ross Millson and Blaine Groves at the controls.
“We ran two brutal three-hour races on consecutive weekends, with no more than an oil change,” the team said. “I couldn’t be happier with the bike or the results so far,” said rider and team owner Millson.
The first event, held on May 26 at Grand Bend Motorplex, was hosted by the S.O.A.R. racing series. Although the grid was a bit smaller than previous years, the competition was tough as expected. The team found itself battling for the entire event. After three hours of racing, the MV Agusta team managed to take the win by just over one minute.
The second event was held on June 3 at Calabogie Motorsports Park and hosted by the Québec-based organization Trackfever. Top honors once again went the MV Agusta mounted pair from Hamilton, ON.
The riders were excited to get the opportunity to ride such a fantastic track. “Three hours around here should be fun,” said Groves. “This place is like the best road you’ve ever seen, and we get to ride it all afternoon!”
The machine ran perfectly for duration of the event and the team managed a total of 353.5 km of riding in two hours 53 minutes. “The MV Agusta F4 is a great machine” said Millson. “We just needed to do some basic track preparation, add some MV Corse components and it was good to go! It speaks volumes about the machine and the quality of its components.”
Motovan and MV Agusta Canada are excited to be involved with MV Agusta competing and winning in Canadian road racing series.
