Mopar CSBK Pro racer Franklyn Dominguez will be making his first appearance in AMA Pro Superbike competition at Daytona International Speedway on March 14-15 for the AMA season opener/Daytona 200. The four-time Dominican SBK champ and recently crowned Pan American Champion will ride the OCM Racing Kawasaki ZX-10Rs that will wear number 711 in the two 15-lap races.

“This will be a good opportunity for me and the team to work together again,” said Dominguez. “We ended last year really well and hope this will be a great start for this year. This is my first time at Daytona and we are looking forward to using the experience to get a jump on the 2014 Mopar CSBK season.”

The OCM racing team, owned by Amir Aziz, will be headed up by crew chief/co-owner Michael Chun, mechanic Kyle “Crasher” Ormianer, and have brought on board Gianni Aceteo of “G” suspension.

Aside from being new to Daytona, Dominguez also acknowledges the challenge in a tire brand change to Dunlop. “All my championships have been on Pirellis and it’s what we race on in Canada, so I look forward to the challenge of not only learning a new track but also a new tire,” Dominguez added.

In addition to his Daytona start, the team has confirmed Dominguez’s commitment to the Mopar CSBK 2014 series.
