July 30, 2013- August 16-17 marks the fifth year of this annual event bridging the vintage motorcycle & scootering communities in Toronto, Ontario. A highlight of the motorcycling season, Mods n’ Rockers festivals have become signature cultural events across North America with major centres such as Chicago, San Diego and Houston hosting annual festivals that attract thousands of riders from across the continent and overseas.
Mods n’ Rockers – Toronto is the largest Canadian event of its kind. The ongoing support, recognition and growth of Toronto’s motorcycling communities has resulted in a renewed interest in the lifestyles and legacy of the mods & rockers, two British youth sub-cultures associated as much with motorcycling as with their seaside clashes throughout the 1960’s.
Last year, the National Post ranked Mods n Rockers Toronto as “the top thing to do in Toronto for the week”. Mods n’ Rockers is a cornerstone festival in Toronto’s motorcycling community representing a core 21-35 year old demographic comprising one of the fastest growing lifestyle & leisure markets in Canada. A $1.1 billion dollar market in Ontario, between 2007 and 2011 new motorcycle registrations grew by 40%, surpassing all other leisure vehicles in the market.
Mods n’ Rockers Toronto – 2013 is the GTA’s premiere event celebrating the legacy and lifestyles of these two youth sub-cultural icons. Join us for a weekend of vintage motorcycles & scooters, classic Rock n’ Roll and Motown, stunning burlesque performances, great food, great sites and great fun.
