While nothing official has come out of the Effenbert Liberty racing camp, all stories are pointing to Brett McCormick making the move to the premier class in the World Superbike Championship with the Effenbert Liberty racing team.
Last week on his Facebook page, McCormick shared the news that, “I have some VERY exciting news for everybody I should be able to share in a day or two…” Follow this up with a quick post from the Canadian Motorcycle Association congratulating Brett on his move to the big class, “Beginning with the April 1st event in Imola, our very own Brett McCormick will be racing in the FIM World Championship Superbike Class!” and it sounds like the Canadian is moving to the premier class.
Finally, earlier today the Italian motorcycle news source GP One reported that Brett will be moving up to World Superbike following team changes in Phillip Island.
We await the official announcement from the Effenbert Liberty racing team, but in the meantime we congratulate Brett on his success and look forward to seeing a Canadian on the World Superbike scene.
