KTM Canada would like to express its sincere thanks to Cole Thompson for his hard work and dedication over the last nine years. Following a successful relationship with the KTM Canada Red Bull THOR Race Team, Cole’s time with the team has now drawn to a close.

Since joining the KTM Canada Red Bull THOR Race Team in 2013, Thompson has made a name for himself not only in Canadian national racing but also in the U.S. through many years of battling in the AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross Championships.

With a long list of accomplishments together with KTM, Thompson really hit his stride on the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION as a two-time 450 Pro Class Canadian Triple Crown Champion, three-time 450 Pro Class Canadian Supercross Champion and 450 Pro Class Canadian Arenacross Champion from 2018 to 2021. Despite overcoming multiple injuries that cost him countless race-wins and titles over the years, the 28-year-old has achieved great success for the brand and we wish him well in his next chapter of racing.

Cole Thompson: “I’m proud to be part of such an incredible brand like KTM for nine years and I’m grateful for all the success we’ve shared together. I’ll always look at KTM as family, and they will have a special place in my heart. Thank you to the entire team for believing in me all these years. It’s goodbye for now, but maybe someday our paths will cross again.”

Jean-Sebastien Roy, KTM Canada Red Bull THOR Race Team Manager: “Cole came only two years after my first day at KTM and he delivered to the group many championships and wins. I’ve had a great seven years working with him and we wish the best for his future endeavors. The main goal for the KTM Racing team is to support Canadian Pro Motocross and offer a platform of support all the way from the Amateur ranks to Pro by giving our Canadian youth racers the chance to follow the path of a Cole Thompson.”
