Round 4 of the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association 2013 season returned to the Eagle Motorplex in Ashcroft, British Columbia, where record weather saw track temperatures rise well above 130 degrees.
Crowd favorite ‘Hi-Per’ Al Miles of Edmonton, AB took it all in stride, claiming first place in the Screamin’ Eagle Pro Dragster class to remain undefeated in 2013. In the final elimination round, Miles had to contend with Fort Saskatchewan’s Doug Casson, who was the only other racer in the class to run below the 8 second mark during the weekend, but a final round 7.811 second ET with a .150 R/T sealed the deal for the defending champion.
Also remaining undefeated in 2013, Saskatoon’s Nick Allen defeated Rick Adams in the finals of the Screamin’ Eagle Western V-Rod Destroyer series.
Rob Aston of Calgary Alberta had a busy weekend taking first place in Pro Street and also running in the Super Street finals against 2012 CMDRA Street champion Brent Gjaltema of Lloydminster, who defeated Aston to claim the victory in only his second race since moving into Super Street this season.
