MARKHAM, Ont. – The Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the 2014 ‘Call for Nominations.’ We need you to complete and submit the nominations form at www.motorcyclehalloffame.ca by January 31. Please ensure to include supporting material to allow the Selection Committee to make an informed decision.
“In order for an association or individual to be inducted, they must first be nominated. We need the motorcycling community in Canada to help us induct and celebrate the outstanding careers of many individuals and organizations who have contributed to Canada’s transportation and sports heritage,” said Chair, Mike Harwood.
“We are thrilled to be bringing the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and Reunion to Edmonton in 2014. This will be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the great success in motorcycling in Western Canada. We last saw the event in the west (Vancouver) in 2010 and we are planning another great celebration in 2014. I invite the motorcycling community to join our fun filled weekend next September,” said Banquet Chair, Don Galloway.
The Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and Reunion is the annual signature event of the Canadian International Motorcycle Heritage Museum Foundation, a non-profit association with charitable status. It is governed by an independent board of volunteer directors located from coast to coast and is sponsored in part by the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada (MCC).
Founded by Bar and Hedy Hodgson in 1999, the Canadian International Motorcycle Heritage Museum Foundation preserves and promotes Canadian motorcycle history for the benefit of the motorcycling community and the public. Since the first induction banquet in Toronto in 2006, over 100 distinguished motorcyclists have been inducted into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame.
