CONCORD, Ontario (February 18, 2014) – Deeley Harley-Davidson® Canada and participating authorized Canadian Harley-Davidson® Retailers are excited to share PROJECT RUSHMORE, the largest-scale new model launch in the 110-year history of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. Visit the Harley-Davidson® booth at The Motorcycle Show in Toronto at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place, February 21-23, 2014, to feel the rush and experience the new project everyone is talking about.

Building on the technological foundation that keeps Harley-Davidson at the top of the Touring motorcycle segment are eight new models for 2014. All feature Project RUSHMORE enhancements – from improved power and braking performance and enhanced rider ergonomics, to dramatic style updates that redefine the rider’s experience.

New models include:

Road King®, Street Glide®, Street Glide® Special, Electra Glide® Ultra Classic®, Ultra Limited, Tri Glide™ Ultra, (CVO™) Ultra Limited, and CVO™ Road King®. Not only can attendees see many of the 2014 models, they can saddle up and enjoy the full Project RUSHMORE experience.  harley-davidson.com/RUSHMORE

What is Driving the Project RUSHMORE Experience?

Project RUSHMORE is the result of an entirely new way to produce motorcycles. Across the full development process, Harley-Davidson listened and responded like never before, creating innovations and technology enhancements based on the ideas and dreams of real riders today. Those enhancements slot into four Customer-defined categories:

Control: Project RUSHMORE bikes pass faster, stop quicker, and see farther at night, inspiring rider confidence. Each model features the new Twin-Cooled™ High Output Twin Cam 103™ or the High Output Twin Cam 103™ powertrains, Reflex™ Linked Brakes with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System), and Daymaker™ LED and Dual Halogen lighting.

Infotainment: New colour-screen Boom!™ Box infotainment systems feature the first original-equipment voice recognition and touchscreen for music, GPS navigation, and phone in motorcycling, with quality audio, Bluetooth® connectivity, text-to-speech technology, plus support for intercom and CB communications in a single module.

Feel: Aerodynamics and ergonomics come together to improve comfort – from the new Batwing fairing with splitstream venting, which reduces head buffeting by 20 per cent, to best-in-class ride for passengers with wider and deeper seats and new back and arm rests.

Style: The form and function of many components are improved – reshaped Tour-Pak® luggage and saddlebags with convenient One-Touch latches, sleeker fenders, lighter cast-aluminum wheels, and intuitive hand control switches.

Additional headlines from the 2014 Harley-Davidson® lineup include the re-styled Fat Bob® model, the availability of anti-lock brakes on all five 2014 Sportster® models, and the continuation of H-D1™ Factory Customization.

On the heels of our recent international announcement, Harley-Davidson will also be showcasing our highly anticipated Street™ 750 model – a model designed for young urban riders around the world. It is a bike you have to see to believe.

All models are available under the Harley-Davidson Financial Services special promotion that has been held over at 4.99 per cent financing.
