Port Perry, Ontario (June 30, 2017) – The third round of the 2017 Canadian Superbike Series (CSBK) took place this past weekend (June 23-25) at Autodrome St-Eustache in St-Eustache, Quebec.

The top Canadian Pro Superbike riders battled for the win around the 1.93km/1.2 mile 10-turn track that has hosted the series for many years.

Jordan Szoke, on the Mopar Express/Hindle/BMW S1000RR, added another victory under his belt by claiming the top spot on the podium in the Mopar Pro Superbike Race. This is officially Szoke’s 61st victory in the Canadian Superbike Championship Series.

“The bike was fantastic all weekend, right out of the box,” said Szoke. “We have a great setup here, and this is my strongest track. Our bike’s running amazing, and we had it dialed for the race.”

The second place battle was tight between Bodhi Edie (Yamaha YZF-R1) and Kenny Riedmann on the Sturgess Cycle/Hindle/Kawasaki ZX-10R, trading places back and forth throughout the entire race. Edie ended up finishing in second, followed by Riedmann in third.

“It was a super fun race, and that’s why we ride motorcycles,” said Riedmann on his third place finish. “We’re not making a living out here, and it’s just so much fun when you get into a race-long battle like that. I wish I would have come out on top, but I’m just happy to be having fun on a motorcycle, because I haven’t been having much fun lately. Now my team is ready to regroup and start winning races.”

Ben Young, on the Scot-Build/Hindle/BMW S1000RR, was right on Riedmann’s tail, finishing 0.065 seconds behind the third place rider. Frank Trombino, on the ProStar/Hindle/Honda CBR1000RR finished in fifth place.

In the Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike race, Tomas Casas, on the Peterborough Cycle/Hindle/Yamaha YZF-R6 finished in first place earning his second win in three races.

Frank Trombino, on the ProStar/Hindle/Honda CBR600RR, was able to get around Mitch Card’s Yamaha YZF-R6 and tighten the gap with Casas for first. Trombino got close, but Casas jammed the door shut on the last lap. Trombino finished in a close second place, followed by Card in 3rd place.

“The goal was to get a good start, because I knew I could run a faster pace than the other guys,” said the 18-year-old Casas, who built upon his points lead going into the remaining four races of the season. “We made some suspension changes last night, but it was still bottoming out when I pushed it. I was at the limit, but I just kept my rhythm going, and I hope I can keep that momentum going at Shubenacadie.”

In Amateur racing, Hindle-sponsored rider Samuel Desmarais, on the Kawasaki ZX-6R, won both the Shoei Helmets Amateur Sport Bike race and the Magneti Marelli Amateur Superbike Race.

The next round of the 2017 Canadian Superbike Series takes place at Atlantic Motorsports Park in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia., July 13-16.
