“Before I get started on our team update I want to say thank you to everyone who sent condolences & best wishes for the loss of our sister Gayle to cancer earlier this year. It has been a difficult time for our family; we sincerely appreciate the support we have received from the drag racing community.
“There have been a number of developments with Pollard Nitrosports over the last six months, first of all our Bike is
NOT for sale. My wife, Stephanie & I have acquired full ownership of our bike and all Pollard Nitrosports assets (and debts). I will continue my role as Team Manager/Crew Chief etc. Geoff will continue to ride, work on the bike and be involved with set-up and tuning decisions. Every team needs a top notch rider to be successful and we feel we have one of the very best.
“There have also been some changes to our team, Aaron Langford & Ron Jury will not be with us in 2012, we wish them all the best in the future. Jack Learment will stay with us and our son, Neil will join us whenever possible. We are extremely pleased to announce that starting in 2012 our long-time friend and multi-time champion, Rick Stetson will join our team for all US outings (and possibly a couple of Canadian events if we can talk him into it). There is no doubt that Rick will be a great addition and a key member of Pollard Nitrosports. I would like to add one more local crew person to our team and will be actively looking in the New Year. Our plan in 2012 will be to run the Manufacturers Cup events and several exhibition outings as our schedule and budget allow.
“Our bike is currently enjoying a face lift (due to some race injuries to our bodywork) with new paint being done by our buddy, Mark Geoffrey at CGS Automotive Refinishing & Custom Rides, we are also working with the McBrides at Cycle Specialist to complete a few upgrades in time for the April Manufacturer’s Race.
“I have also recently purchased and installed a number of machines for our Dorchester, Ontario shop and we will open NitroFab – metal machining & fabricating services in 2012
“We are excited about getting back on the track and seeing everyone in 2012. We will continue doing what we love to do – GOING FAST & HAVING FUN!!!”
