The April issue of Inside Motorcycles is 80 pages of two-wheeled bliss! You’ll find out 2014 Adventure/Dual Sport and Touring Buyers’ Guides, exciting new Kawasaki and Victory model impressions, a story about touring in the hills of Colorado and profiles of champions from the worlds of drag racing and vintage road racing. Throw in a couple of intriguing technical articles and our usual mix of insider columns, news and product reviews, and you’ve got another killer issue of Inside Motorcycles.

Reworked extensively for 2014, the Kawasaki Z1000 is aggressive and powerful, yet fast and agile, and it was a worthy cover model for our April issue. Senior Editor Colin Fraser had the chance to spend some time with the new Zed in California, and relays his impressions on the edgy beast in the latest issue. Columnist Steve Hoffarth reviewed the Victory High-Ball, a bobber-style cruiser with the styling of a classic 1950s hot rod thanks to its satin black finish and whitewall tires. With 106 cubic inches of American V-twin muscle, the High-Ball is no slouch in the acceleration department and yet it’s also quite friendly around town, despite those big apehangers!

R. Bruce Thomas’s takes us on a trip to Colorado in a story aptly titled ‘The Vertigo Tour’. Not for the faint of heart, Thomas’s multi-day tour included awe-inspiring canyon vistas, roads that really should have guardrails and dozens of examples of the beauty of nature — and why we motorcyclists love to tour.

In the market for a new adventure, dual sport or touring motorcycle? If so, the April issue is a MUST for you! All of the 2014 models available in these segments in Canada are listed, with photos, pricing and specs to boot, in our 2014 Adventure/Dual Sport and Touring Buyers’ Guides.

Tech editor John Sharrard brings us the first of two installments on properly lowering a motorcycle, while Andrew Trevitt explains the technology behind Yamaha’s crossplane crankshaft. Graham Clayton profiles Kevin Schwantz and the RGV500 Suzuki Grand Prix bike.
