DUNDAS, ONTARIO (February 17, 2015) –The DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series will be debuting a new class this summer, geared towards New and Beginner Street Bike Riders looking to learn the ins and outs of the sport while doing so in a no pressure environment.

To enter racers will pay the regular track gate fee with tech cards being available at the DSE Sportsman Series Registration trailer for just $5. Street Bike Eliminator Winners will take home a coveted DSE Iron Tree Trophy with class Runner-Ups taking home special Plaques.

The class will be open to any Street Legal bike that runs on treaded DOT Street Legal tires and has no bracket racing aids such as wheelie bars, delay boxes, air shifters or any other electronic that is non OEM style Equipment. The class will be run as a bracket style category, however it will utilize a staggered Start .500 Pro Tree.

Sponsoring the class for 2015 is Dundas Valley Hobby (DVH) located just outside of Hamilton in Dundas Ontario. Opened in 1992 by Robin Philp, DVH features three floors and wide selections of R/C cars, slot cars, Plastic Model cars, model railroading as well as numerous other Hobby paints and supplies.

Series Director Andrew Stirk is excited to see this new class added to the series.

“The creation of the Dundas Valley Hobby Street Bike Eliminator is a strong addition to the DSE Series, and really helps solidify our positon in being able to say that we offer a class for everyone regardless of what they race or their experience level. We felt we needed a class similar to our existing Street Car class, but designed for Bike Racers to come and learn without the pressure or stress of having to race against purpose built Drag Bikes/Sleds or cars. The bonus will be that it will be cheaper to run in our Street Bike Class than it will be to just test and tune!” said Stirk.

The first Event in the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series is the 4th Annual Season Opener which takes place June 6 -7 at Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park. The DSE Sportsman Racing Series features six different Championship Classes and a point’s structure where racers claim their best eight out of 12 point’s races during the season.
