Screamin’ Eagle V-Rod Destroyer Eastern Series Round 3 Recap

The CMDRA returned to Ontario’s Grand Bend Motorplex on June 21^st and 22^nd as the Screamin’ Eagle V-Rod Destroyer series entertained over 20,000 race fans as part of the IHRA Mopar Nationals.

In the final elimination round, long time rivals Chris Fox of Owen Sound and Burlington’s Pete Thomson lined up for yet another showdown. Despite Thomson cutting a quicker light aboard his Rocky’s Harley-Davidson-sponsored machine, Fox and his Fox Harley-Davidson Racing Team capped off a dominant weekend performance with an ET of 9.233 seconds at 137.25 MPH, which was more than enough to overcome their challenger’s initial advantage.

With his win, Fox becomes the third different trophy winner in as many races, setting the stage for intense competition as the Screamin’ Eagle V-Rod Destroyer Eastern Series moves into the last half of the season.
