President’s Update
Dear Riders,
As we move into the fall riding season, I want to take a moment to recognize the incredible work being done across our community. Our clubs are always looking for volunteers, especially in Dufferin and Bruce Counties. The dedication of our volunteers is the backbone of our sport. From maintaining trails to hosting events, their efforts make it possible for us all to enjoy safe and sustainable riding opportunities.
At the provincial level, your OFTR Board and your clubs are working hard to advocate for your access. Trail closures remain a real risk, especially as more people move into rural areas. It’s important for you to know that a portion of every dollar collected through your trail pass goes directly toward advocacy, ensuring we continue to protect and grow our trail network.
In addition to advocacy, teams of volunteers are out on the ground every week. Whether it’s dust suppression, trail reclamation, or ongoing maintenance, your trail pass dollars are being put to work where it matters most. These efforts come at a significant cost, but they’re vital to keeping our trails open and in great condition.
This summer, I was fortunate to attend the MORR Skills and MORR Thrills event at the Bob Rumball Camp for the Deaf. It was inspiring to see so many riders come together to celebrate our sport. Even better, proceeds from this event are helping send kids to camp, a truly meaningful outcome. A big thank you to the Muskoka Off-Road Riders for their hard work in making this event a success.
Finally, I want to recognize the OFTR staff for their tireless work this summer. From attending events to supporting clubs and members across the province, they have been busier than ever, and their dedication has not gone unnoticed.
Thank you all for being part of this incredible community. With your support, we’ll continue to protect and grow off-road riding in Ontario.
Sincerely,
Joel

NEW SPONSOR – INVASIVE SPECIES CENTRE

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with the ISC – Invasive Species Centre this year!
Their mission is to prevent and manage the spread of invasive species through research, education, and collaboration — a cause that directly supports the health of our trails, forests, and riding areas. By working together, we can help protect Ontario’s ecosystems so riders and communities can continue to enjoy them for generations to come.
We’re excited about this partnership and the positive impact it will have on our riding community and the natural spaces we all value.
To report invasive species in Ontario, people can use EDDMaps online or using the mobile app or by calling 1-800-563-7711
STARA – WOLF MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE RALLY

An epic Adventure it was!
Thank you to everyone who participated in STARA’s first 2 Day Wolf Mountain Adventure Rally! They are extremely impressed at how “ready to rally” everyone was!
This was a challenging event mentally & physically we pushed riders & bikes to their limits… only a few hardcore riders managed to complete the entire 2 days (it was LONG)
Everyone seemed to have smiles and war stories around the camp fire!
Events like this could not be possible without our amazing volunteers! Sweeps, Gas, BBQ chefs, GOJOfarm etc
Thank You!
HTR – LADIES MOTO MINGLE
A massive congratulation to everyone who attended the Ladies Moto Mingle again this year!
This is a great opportunity for women riders across Ontario to come together and learn skill in a female fuelled environment.
A big thank you to all that made it possible including Stephanie & Meg’s Brapp – we can’t wait for next year!
BMA – CALABOGIE BOOGIE

That’s a wrap on Calabogie Boogie 2025!
Huge thanks to our riders, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who shared photos & videos – YOU made it a massive success!
MORR – MORR SKILLS MORR THRILLS

Despite the weather, the first Morr Skills Morr Thrills event hosted in collaboration with Motocamp was a huge success! We had the pleasure of seeing lots of families putting their riding skills to the test and creating some unforgettable memories together.
We set a goal to be able to send 5 children to Bob Rumball’s Camp of the deaf and are thrilled to announce that we surpassed our goal and our able to send 7 children to camp!
This is an incredible achievement and we want to thank all the volunteers and families that made this possible – we could not do what we do without you!
Thank you everyone again and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
