After a hard-fought career spanning over a decade, Canadian motorcycle racer Trevor Daley has officially announced his retirement from professional racing. Known for his resilience, tenacity, and unrelenting drive, Daley leaves the sport with a legacy defined by passion, perseverance, and an unwavering love for pushing the limits.
Throughout his career, Trevor faced and overcame-numerous major injuries that would have sidelined many. His ability to rebound time and time again was a testament to his dedication, grit, and the heart of a true competitor. Despite the physical toll, Trevor remained a fixture on the grid, continually pushing the limits of what was possible.
Daley’s most celebrated moments came in last year’s 2024 season, where he captured two Superbike race victories, along with a trio of Supersport first place finishes. Trevor is leaving his mark being only the third rider in the 40+ year history of the Championship to score victories in both headline classes on the same day twice in one season. This achievement had many in the paddock substituting his long-time nickname of ‘the wild child’ with a new one of the ‘Daley Double’! (Brett McCormick and Jordan Szoke being the two others).
2011 saw Trevor throw a leg over a street motorcycle for the first time, much later in life than most competitors. Trevor’s first full season effort in 2012 was a preview of what was to come as he Won the opening race of the season, in the rain on a GSXR1000. In only his first year racing, Trevor captured the Canadian national amateur #1 plate and championship. 2024’s Superbike race wins, both in the rain aboard a GSXR1000 are a fitting bookend to his career.
“This sport has given me joy, pain, unforgettable memories, and lifelong friendships,” said Daley. “But the time has come to close this chapter and begin the next.”
That next chapter leads Trevor to pour his full energy into OneSpeedInc, the high-performance fabrication and motorsports business he founded. With 2026 marking the 15th anniversary of OneSpeedInc’s conception, the timing is both symbolic and significant. Trevor will now focus 100% of his time and effort into growing the company that has been quietly fueling the motorcycle racing world behind the scenes.
“I’m incredibly proud of what OneSpeedInc has become and excited for where it’s going. At times, the all encompassing efforts required to be a top level professional racer have been a challenge to balance with the demands of being an entrepreneur and business owner. I look forward to not having to split my mental and physical efforts which at times have made me feel like ‘a jack of all trades but master of none’. I’m just as passionate about building as I was riding, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish next.”
Trevor Daley extends his deepest gratitude to his family for their sacrifice and support, friends, fans, and sponsors for their everlasting support through every high and low.
As Trevor steps away from the grid, his mark on Canadian motorcycle racing remains indelible. The journey may be changing lanes, but the throttle is still wide open at OneSpeed!
