Jonathan Finn Re-Signs with Team XCtech for the 2019 ESBK Pre-Moto3 Championship

VALENCIA, SPAIN – February 6, 2019 - Canadian motorcycle road racer Jonathan “Jonny” Finn is pleased to officially announce that he’s re-signed with the XCtech Team to contest the 2019 Spanish ESBK Pre-Moto3 Championship.

This coming season will mark the third consecutive year the 15-year-old Canadian road racer and Spanish-based XCtech have been working together.

“We’re very happy to continue our relationship with Jonny” says team boss Xavi Jimenez. “It’s our goal to help Jonny run at the front and battle for podium positions, which he has proven he is quite capable of. It’s been our pleasure to watch Jonny mature over these last two seasons. We know that this is his season.” added Jimenez.

Finn continues to live and train in Spain in preparation for the newly named 2019 Campeonato de España de Superbike Cetelem or ESBK.

Finn will be competing on a brand new XCtech prepared 2019 BeOn Automotive Pre Moto3 race machine that features 40 plus horsepower powered by a 2019 Yamaha YZ250F engine and weighing 82 kilograms.

The Bushell Park, Saskatchewan native will be putting his new machine through its paces for the 2019 season with a preliminary test this coming weekend at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.

Jonathan Finn Partners with UK Motorcycle Clothing Brand RST-Moto

VALENCIA, SPAIN – JANUARY 9, 2019 - 15-year-old Canadian motorcycle road racer Jonathan “Jonny” Finn is delighted to announce a new partnership with the UK’s number one motorcycle clothing brand RST-Moto.

RST-Moto has come on board Finn’s program providing equipment support for his 2019 racing campaign in the ESBK Pre-Moto3 series including two race-ready suits, one practice suit as well as gloves and boots for the 2019 season.

In his 9 years of racing, Finn has amassed 4 Canadian National Championships as well as multiple regional Championships in Mini Road Racing throughout Canada. He’s also experienced success racing abroad in the United States and Europe.

The Bushell Park, Saskatchewan native competed in Spain this past season in the ESBK Pre-Moto3 series and was invited to the 2018 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup Selection Event in Guadix, Spain. Finn races at various notable tracks including Jerez, Valencia and Motorland-Aragon. This series is a steppingstone to the CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship. Finn’s goal is to represent Canada & North America at the international level to the best of his abilities.

On January 3rd Finn traveled to the RST-Moto headquarters in South Normanton, UK where he was given a tour the RST-Moto facility before being fitted for his V4 RST-Moto racing leathers.

“It was awesome, everyone was super nice. Just a great, relaxed environment.” Finn stated after his visit to RST-Moto facility. “The fitting process was great using their sizing suits and having me sit on a race bike that they have in their showroom so that they could make sure the comfort and fit of my suit on a bike in a racing position.”

The new RST Race Dept V4 suit has an ultra race cut, giving it the ideal aggressive and perfect fit when riding any race bike. Worn by RST Factory riders, this suit has been tried and tested by the riders themselves. The research by RST has allowed them to develop the V4 suit with strength provided by Aramid and Kevlar in the most vulnerable areas as well as double layers of leather in the seat area for added protection. Jonathan Finn Completes Inaugural RFME Season at Circuito de Jerez
